What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential to make a site work at all; others are used to measure traffic or to advertise. This page explains which cookies we use and why.

The cookies we use

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the service — the ones needed to deliver something you have asked for, such as signing in. They are:

• Sign-in / session cookies (set by our database and auth provider, Supabase): these keep you securely signed in as you move between pages. Without them you could not stay logged in.
• Bot-check cookie (set by Cloudflare Turnstile) — only on the sign-up page, and only when bot-protection is switched on: a short-lived security cookie that helps tell real people from automated abuse when an account is created.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics that profile you. Our error-diagnostics provider (Sentry) runs on the server only and does not set any cookie in your browser. We do not sell or share cookie data.

Why you do not see a cookie banner

Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested do not require a consent pop-up. Because we use only those, we do not interrupt you with a cookie banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first.

Managing cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking our essential cookies will stop you from signing in, so the service will not work.
